Verizon & AT&T May Limit FaceTime To Tiered Plans Only
One of iOS 5′s bigger features is the ability to use FaceTime to make video calls over 3G & 4G networks. Discussions as reported by 9to5Mac seem to be at an impasse. What I do not understand is the difficulty faced by Apple to add this feature. It seems as if the telco’s are now saying were going to tell you how to use the bandwidth even if you pay a premium for it. I find that unfair and that also raises the network neutrality flag in my mind. I think it’s time Apple plays hardball with these companies and tell them if they do not concede on this point that they will take the iPhone 5 to another carrier.
