Postbox the popular mail.app alternative has updated their app to version 2.5 bringing a number of new enhancements and functionality.  Below are some details from their announcement.

• Fast 64-bit Support for Mac OS X – On the Mac, Postbox 2.5 is now running in 64-bit mode, which translates to faster startup, snappier interface elements, and quicker message loading.
• Vertical Thread Pane View – Postbox now supports a double-row Vertical Thread Pane View, which makes more efficient use of widescreen displays.
• Streamlined Message View – We’ve re-designed the Message View to make message and conversation loading quick and seamless. The result is a silky-smooth reading experience that’s easy on the eyes.
• Improved Interface + New Mac Theme – We’ve made the Postbox interface simpler and more intuitive, plus we have a fresh new theme for the Mac by Benjamin De Cock, and a new icon set by Kenichi Yoshida.
